UPS uninterruptible power supply common failure analysis

First, the UPS uninterruptible power supply (hereinafter referred to as UPS) has a low voltage, but after charging for a long time, the UPS voltage still cannot be charged.

Failure analysis: Judging from the phenomenon as UPS or charging circuit failure, you can check as follows:

1. Check whether the input and output voltage of the charging circuit is stable;

2, the charging circuit when the input is normal, the output is not normal, and then measuring the battery cut off, if not normal compared to the charging circuit so that failure;

3. If the input and output of the charging circuit are normal after disconnecting the battery, it means that the UPS has been damaged due to long-term non-charging, over-discharge transition or the end of its life.

2. The UPS output is normal when there is mains power, but the buzzer keeps beeping and no output when there is no mains power.

Failure analysis: Judging from the phenomenon as part of the UPS and inverter failure, you can check as follows:

1. Check the UPS voltage to see if the UPS is insufficiently charged. If the UPS is insufficiently charged, check that it is the UPS

The fault itself is a circuit fault.

2. If the UPS working voltage is normal, check whether the inverter drive circuit works normally. If the drive circuit output is normal , the inverter is damaged.

3. If the inverter driving circuit works abnormally, check whether the waveform generating circuit has PWM control signal output. If there is a control signal output, it indicates that the problem lies in the inverter driving circuit.

4, if no PWM waveform generation circuit outputs a control signal, it is checked whether the result of the output protection circuit closed, if there is reason to identify protected;

5, if the protective circuit does not work and the operating voltage is normal, and no PWM waveform generation circuit output waveform is a waveform produced raw cause circuit damage.

Third, a pair of power amplifier transistors of the inverter power stage are damaged. After replacing the same type of transistor, it will burn for a period of time. The reason may be that the current is too large, and the reasons for the excessive current are:

1. Overcurrent protection does not work. When the inverter outputs current, the overcurrent protection circuit does not work;

2, two pulse-width modulation (PWM) component failure, the output of the complementary asymmetric waveform, a long-time pilot, and another short one on-time, so that the work arms imbalance, even arms are turned on simultaneously, resulting in two Tube damage

3, power management parameters are quite different, then even if the input waveform is symmetrical, the output will be asymmetric, the output of the waveform- pressure, resulting in bias magnet, i.e. a magnetic flux imbalance, leading to long-term effect current transformer saturation increased sharply, Burn out the power tube, and one of them will burn out, and the other will also burn out.

4. After the UPS is turned on, there is no display on the panel, and the UPS does not work.

Failure analysis: Judging from the failure phenomenon, the failure is in the mains input, battery and mains detection part and UPS voltage

Detection loop:

1. Check whether the mains input fuse is burned out;

2. If the mains input fuse is intact, check whether the battery fuse is burned out, because some UPS will turn off all the output and display of the UPS when it fails to self-test the UPS voltage;

3. If the UPS insurance is intact, check whether the mains detection circuit is working normally. If the mains detection circuit is not working properly and the UPS does not have the start-up function without mains power, the UPS will also turn off all outputs and displays.

4. If the city detection circuit works normally, then check whether the battery voltage detection circuit is normal.

Fifth, in the case of access to electricity, and every time you open UPS, heard the sound of repeated relay, UPS panel battery voltage is too low indicator light and buzzer sounding.

According to the above fault phenomenon, it can be determined that the fault is caused by the battery voltage being too low, which causes the UPS to fail to start . Remove the battery and perform balanced charging first (all batteries are charged in parallel). If it still fails, then

Only replace the battery.

6. A backup UPS works normally when there is mains power and the inverter has output when there is no mains power, but the output voltage is low, and

Noise from transformer

Failure analysis: The inverter has an output indicating that the final stage drive circuit is basically normal, and the transformer having noise indicates that the two stages of the push-pull circuit

The arm works asymmetrically, the detection steps are as follows:

1. Check whether the power is normal;

2. If the power is normal, then check whether the output signal of the pulse width output circuit is normal;

3. If the output of the pulse width output circuit is normal, then check whether the output of the drive circuit is normal.

7. When the UPS is turned on when the mains power supply is normal, the inverter's working indicator flashes, the buzzer makes intermittent calls, and the UPS only

Can work in inverter state, can't switch to mains working state

Failure analysis: The inverter power supply cannot be converted to the mains power supply, which indicates that the conversion part of the inverter power supply to the mains power supply appears.

If a fault occurs, it is important to detect:

1. Whether the mains input fuse is damaged;

2. If the mains input fuse is intact, check whether the output of the mains rectification filter circuit is normal;

3. If the output of the mains rectification filter circuit is normal, check whether the mains detection circuit is normal;

4. If the mains detection circuit is normal, then check whether the inverter power supply to the mains power conversion control output is normal.
